ConcordeFire Retardant Door

Fire Retardant Door is a door with a fire-resistance rating (sometimes referred to as a fire protection rating for closures) used as part of a passive fire protection system to reduce the spread of fire or smoke between compartments and to enable safe egress from a Data Center , building or structure or ship.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS OF FIRE RATED DOORS



» Every frame assembly and door leaf must be labeled.
» Every fire door must have a self close mechanism, unless exempted by code. Doors must also be self latching and remain closed at the time of fire in order to provide barrier against fire.
» Afire door must be free of any obstruction which could be prevent the door from opening properly.
» Only listed fire door hardware shall be used on a listed door.
» Fire doors must have steel bearing type hinges.
